It’s important that we sit down with you at the start of the process to get a really good idea of how you want the home office design to feel, and how you want to feel in it. Should it be ‘all business’ and quite utilitarian, or have a more relaxed, or even luxurious feel to it? It’s completely up to you, and we’ll work with you to make sure you get the result you want.

Our extensive use of ergonomic design principles really come into their own with home office designs, and there are many factors that we consider.

We’ll design a space that takes into account your surface area and storage needs, helps you maintain proper posture, ensures work tools are within the swivel and reach of the chair, and that an appropriate amount of light fills the space. Experience tells us that L-shape returns often work well in home offices, as they provide maximum surface area within close proximity to the chain

Walk in wardrobes are an investment in your existing space. To make any walk-in wardrobe design workable, there are some fundamental measurements that need to be available. You’ll need an absolute minimum clearance of 1,700 mm (1.7m), wall to wall.

Where space is plentiful, an ideal width is about 2,200 mm (2.2m), to give you two walls of shelving and hanging space and a comfortable walkway down the middle. If you want an ‘island’ in the centre, you’ll need more space again – 4,200 mm (4.2m) wall to wall.
